Valentine's Day (Part 1)

I don't know whether I am fit to preach about love at this point of time, especially with the confusion stuck in my head, but maybe this is a good distraction for me. Anyway, as you all know Valentine's Day is coming around the corner, and to some its too mushy to pay attention to, others, is just another day, but there is that few minority(like me), who thinks that Valentine's Day is a good day to make things right. So how did Valentine's Day came about? Well, some say it was due to St. Valentine's ever valiant effort to oppose one Emperor's wish to abolish marriage. Some say it was his touching effort to send his love a greeting card while he was in prison where he died. What ever story is true, it does not matter, the fact is that Valentine's Day is here and it's for everybody.

Yup, everybody. No matter, what sex, race, religion, lifestyle, the day is there. Feb 14. It's always there, whether you choose to accept it then its up to you. Valentine's Day can be painful to some because they lost the one they love whether physically or emotionally, but every bad sensation can be healed and restored, just like drinking a glass of milk when you had something to spicy. You know that the pain is there but you can't feel it anymore because it was replaced. Every mess, can be cleaned up. It's just a matter of whether you want to do it or not, and whether you have to do it with someone or alone. No matter what, Valentine is like another Christmas, just that its more for people who you think is the most important in your life. It's not only reserve for couples, I mean you can love someone without having that intimate connection, and isn't that what Valentine's Day all about. It's about love. Not couples. Just LOVE.

For those that are with a special someone this Valentine's Day. This day is the day you have the chance to make that somone feel special so take it. I know skeptics would say, "it's only a day". I say "SO WHAT". A day is 24 hours, it's 1440 mins, it's 86 400 secs. I think one day can say alot. Ask yourself this, if had a chance to spend one more day with someone that you love, wouldn't you take it? Even if it is for one day, wouldn't you want to remember that day. If that one day can make you happy, wouldn't you want that day? Well, like I said, it's there for the taking, the ball is in your court.

For those alone this Valentine's Day but with that special someone in your hearts, Valentine's Day is a good day to let it out, but I know it's hard so I'm not really going to push you guys to do anything. Just remember that if you have the chance, then just take it. Take that leap of faith, and hope you will land safely. Life's simple, you make a choice, don't look back, don't regret. That's it.

For those alone this Valentine's Day, for whatever reason. Remember that Christmas is not only about receiving but it's also about giving. Same goes for Valentine's Day. It's not whether you receive, but especially if you are hurting, when you give someone your love(and it could be just be a friend) and you made that person's day, you make them feel better, but most importantly you make yourself feel better because you show yourself you are still capable of love. And the only thing that is stopping you from loving, is yourself.

This valentine's day I will probably be alone(standard!) because of medical leave. So while, I'll be at home hoping to recover, music always makes me feel better. Here is my playlist for Valentine's Day, it's not all emo and some are a bit corny, but maybe some songs might make you feel better, others will share the emotion that you are feeling so at least you know that you are not alone.
